Rangers’ Daniel Carcillo Appeals 10-Game Suspension For Abusing Official

New York Rangers forward Daniel Carcillo will appeal the 10-game suspension he received from the NHL for physically abusing a linesman in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals.

The date and time of the suspension appeal, which will be heard by league commissioner Gary Bettman, has not been announced. Bettman has reviewed two suspensions this season (Shawn Thornton and Patrick Kaleta’s 15- and 10-game bans, respectively) and neither was reduced.

The Rangers and Montreal Canadiens resume their series Sunday night at Madison Square Garden for Game 4. New York leads the series 2-1.
