Report: Andrew Wiggins Might Not Be Enough To Get Kevin Love Trade Done

The dream trio of LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love is a much greater possibility now than it was a few days ago, but the Minnesota Timberwolves are not going to make it easy.

The “general feeling at summer league” is that it will take more than No. 1 draft pick Andrew Wiggins for the Cleveland Cavaliers to nab Love in a trade, Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix tweeted Thursday. Last year’s No. 1 pick, Anthony Bennett, might not be enough of a sweetener, either.

The Cavs probably thought they made a huge concession when it was reported Thursday that they would make Wiggins available in trade negotiations. Cleveland had previously refused to include Wiggins in talks.

But Wolves president Flip Saunders apparently is still trying to play hardball. Minnesota could demand starting shooting guard Dion Waiters and possibly a draft pick to part with their All-Star power forward, according to Mannix.
