Dustin Pedroia Back In Red Sox Lineup After Exiting Game Friday Night

The Boston Red Sox lost 5-3 to the Houston Astros on Friday night, snapping a four game winning streak.

Thankfully, they didn’t lose anything more than that.

Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia fouled a ball off his foot in the third inning of Friday night’s contest and was in obvious pain, eventually leaving the game in the eighth inning.

Apparently Pedroia’s injury wasn’t too serious, as he is back in the lineup for the third contest of Boston’s four-game series with the Houston Astros.

With Pedroia back in action, Will Middlebrooks is the only player from Friday’s batting order not in the lineup Saturday. Brock Holt will move to third base and bat leadoff, while Daniel Nava will take Holt’s spot in right field and bat sixth behind first baseman Mike Napoli.

Rubby De La Rosa will get the start for Boston, hoping to earn his second straight victory after a dominant performance against the Los Angeles Angels in his last outing.
