It seems like LeBron James’ no-carb diet is paying off.
According to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, the NBA superstar cut carbohydrates from his diet this summer to shed a few pounds, and it appears he’s on to something. King James posted photos of himself on Instagram, and boy, does he look thinner than he did during the NBA Finals.

James’ official NBA weight is listed at 250 pounds, but he did look a lot heavier than that during the year last season.
Shedding some weight isn’t a bad idea for a player hitting his 30s, even if he is the best in the game. By doing so, he’s only helping himself and it could prolong his career.
It’ll be interesting to see how the new look will translate onto the court.
Chances are with the weight loss, we might see a faster and more explosive LeBron in 2014-15, which is a very scary notion for the rest of the NBA.
