Johnny Manziel Files For Trademark To ‘Johnny Cleveland’ Nickname

Johnny Manziel just wants to get his hands on all of the nicknames.

Manziel has yet to take a snap in an NFL regular season game, but that hasn’t stopped him from filing for a trademark for the term “Johnny Cleveland,” ESPN’s Darren Rovell reports.

According to Rovell, the decision came after two other people attempted to file the mark, but were rejected by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office because they deemed the name to be referring to Manziel, and he had not given his permission.

This now marks the tenth trademark Manziel’s company, JMan2 Enterprises LLC, has applied for, as Manziel also has trademarks filed for “Johnny Football,” “JFF,” “ManzIIiel” and “The House That Johnny Built,” among others.

Johnny Football is rapidly becoming Johnny Nicknames.
