Official On Colin Kaepernick Language Penalty: ‘He Knows What He Said’

Colin KaepernickColin Kaepernick’s mouth needs some cleaning, according to one NFL official.

The side judge during Sunday night’s game between the San Francisco 49ers and Chicago Bears called a 15-yard penalty on the Niners quarterback for inappropriate language he used after throwing an interception to Kyle Fuller.

Since Kaepernick was wearing a mouthpiece, it’s difficult to make out what he actually said, but Bears defensive end Lamarr Houston was trash talking with him right before the flags flew.

Kaepernick maintained his innocence Sunday, telling CSN Bay Area, “I didn’t say anything.”

However, Laird Hayes, who threw the flag, is confident he made the right call.

“He knows what he said,” Hayes told CSN Bay Area.

We’ll probably never know what Kaepernick said, but it’s likely that Hayes didn’t just haphazardly throw a flag for no reason.

Let’s not put all the blame on Kaepernick, though. We’d all be pretty upset if we were part of a team that blew a 17-point lead on national TV.
