Claude Julien: David Krejci ‘Day-To-Day,’ Status For Monday Uncertain (Video)

BOSTON — Bruins center David Krejci will miss Saturday night’s game against the Washington Capitals at TD Garden with an undisclosed injury suffered in the preseason.

He was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, which was retroactive to Saturday, Oct. 4 (the day he was injured). B’s head coach Claude Julien wasn’t able to provide an update on Krejci’s status for Monday afternoon’s matchup vs. the Colorado Avalanche.

“Day-to-day. Can’t tell you more than that,” Julien said after Saturday’s morning skate. “(Krejci) skated for the first time today with the team so we’ll see how that goes.”

Krejci isn’t the only veteran out of Boston’s lineup. Gregory Campbell didn’t play in the preseason and missed the first two regular-season games with a core injury.

“He just started skating so I guess it depends,” Julien said. “I haven’t been told when. He hasn’t been cleared for contact. I think a guy that’s been out for that long who’s just started to skate– I don’t think we have a timetable for him right now.”
