Poll: Which Hall Of Fame Quarterback Does Andrew Luck Most Resemble?

Tom Brady has been in the upper echelon of elite NFL quarterbacks for years. But a whole other group of pass-throwers is nipping at his heels.

Leading the way in this next generation is Andrew Luck, the Indianapolis Colts’ first overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft. As Luck gets set to square off against Brady and the New England Patriots this Sunday, a look at his numbers reveals some eye-popping stats.

The 25-year-old leads the NFL in passing yards (3,085), is second behind Peyton Manning in touchdown passes (26) and ranks third in completions (250) through nine games. Luck also has added 129 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.

An old-fashioned gunslinger who can air it out yet also keep plays alive with his feet, Luck calls to mind several great quarterbacks of the past. Yet who does he most resemble?

Is it Joe Montana, a highly talented quarterback who established himself as one of the greatest winners of all time? How about Roger Staubach or John Elway, whose prowess in the pocket led their teams to multiple Super Bowls?

Or does Luck most resemble Colts legend Johnny Unitas, who used his mobility and big arm to reinvent the position and put his franchise on the map?
