The Johnny Manziel money hands still haven’t gone out of style.
The celebration made popular by the Cleveland Browns quarterback now more often is used to taunt, usually with the Heisman Trophy-winning signal-caller lying flat on his back somewhere close by. On Monday, it was Manziel’s former team falling victim.
Texas A&M finished its season against West Virginia in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl, and Mountaineers quarterback Skyler Howard tossed up the Manziel money hands after throwing a 45-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter.
This season hasn’t gone particularly well for Manziel or his alma mater. The Aggies lost five of their last seven regular-season games, and Manziel’s first NFL campaign was an adventure, to say the least.
Monday’s game yielded some more positive results, though, as Texas A&M outlasted West Virginia 45-37 in a shootout.
