Super Bowl XLIX took an ugly turn toward the end of the fourth quarter Sunday night when the Seattle Seahawks, on their way to defeat, lost their composure and started a brawl with the New England Patriots.
The Patriots had just intercepted Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson’s pass at the goal line to seal the win, and before they could complete the final kneel-down, the teams traded punches, with the action going all the way back into the end zone at University of Phoenix Stadium.
Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski even took a jab to the face.
