Julian Edelman’s impressive Super Bowl performance has caught the attention of Jay Z.
The New England Patriots wide receiver scored a meeting Thursday with Jay Z’s Roc Nation Sports agency in New York City, according to TMZ Sports. A source told TMZ that Edelman isn’t looking to switch agencies, as he’s reportedly “super happy” with his current representation, but he took the meeting to talk about some other opportunities that might exist.
According to TMZ, Edelman’s group believes he could team up with Roc Nation for some marketing and branding pursuits. Edelman certainly is skilled in those two areas, as he’s sold merchandise of his own online that includes T-shirts commemorating his touchdown pass to Danny Amendola from the Pats’ AFC divisional-round win against the Baltimore Ravens.
It’s been a whirlwind few days for Edelman, who traveled to Disneyland, put on a show during the Patriots’ victory parade, presented at the Grammys with Malcolm Butler and made an appearance on “Late Night with Seth Meyers.” So why not add a meeting with one of the most successful artists and entrepreneurs in the world to his wild ride?
