Dee Gordon Dunks On Christian Yelich During Postgame Interview (Video)

It’s early in the baseball season, but we have a pretty solid candidate for best postgame celebration of the year.

Christian Yelich put the Miami Marlins in the win column for the first time in 2015, hitting a game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the 10th inning Friday night against the Tampa Bay Rays to lift his team to a 10-9 victory. The Marlins were some happy fish following the game, so they decided to celebrate Yelich’s clutch hit in style.

During the outfielder’s postgame TV interview, Dee Gordon and Matt Latos brought basketball to the baseball diamond, as Gordon dunked all over Yelich with a mini hoop.

It was complete and utter posterization, but it was a posterization that Yelich knew was inevitable.

“I knew that was coming, I knew that was coming,” Yelich said. “I completely forgot the question. I was just dunked on.

“That’s their thing this year, so you’re going to have to watch out.”

If you’re going to have a thing, it might as well be mini-dunking on your teammates. We approve.
