Mike Trout Crushes Chris Young’s Dreams, Robs Him Twice In A Row (Video)

Note to Chris Young: Don’t hit hard line drives into the gap. At least not while Mike Trout is patrolling the outfield.

The Los Angeles Angels superstar was Young’s greatest nemesis Monday night, thwarting the New York Yankees outfielder at every turn. It all started in the third inning, when Young ripped what could have been an RBI double to left-center field.

Enter Trout.

Getting robbed like that can be pretty demoralizing for a hitter, but Young bounced back in his next at-bat by lacing a line drive to almost the exact same spot.

Re-enter Trout.

We understand Trout is just doing his job (quite well, we might add), but that’s just cruel. Here’s how Young felt about Trout’s second display of awesomeness.

“I think they should change the rules,” Young said after the game about Trout’s cruelty, via MLB.com. “Somebody hits the ball hard, you should get like a half a point or something.”

Unfortunately, Young was not rewarded half a point, and Trout added a point of his own by crushing a go-ahead homer in the third inning of an eventual 4-1 Angels win.

So yeah, he’s still pretty good.
