Being a major league umpire is a very difficult job. Fortunately, Andy Fletcher had plenty of help Wednesday.
Fletcher was the home plate ump for the San Francisco Giants’ contest against the New York Mets at AT&T Park. But he wasn’t the only one dressed for the occasion, as two umpire superfans proved when they reached their front-row seats.

Pretty impressive, right? But the show didn’t stop there. The pair of ump enthusiasts went on to re-enact every one of Fletcher’s calls, down to each ball and strike.
Unfortunately for the Giants fans in their vicinity, that meant ringing up a lot of San Francisco batters, as Mets phenom Jacob de Grom struck out 10 in New York’s eventual 4-1 win.
But sometimes attending an MLB game is all about entertainment, and these two fake umps certainly provided that Wednesday.
