Mike Aviles’ Adorable Daughter Throws Out First Pitch At Indians Game (Video)

The Cleveland Indians showed their full support for Mike Aviles when they refused to ship him at the MLB’s non-waiver trade deadline while his 4-year-old daughter, Adriana, battles cancer.

They also set the stage for an awesome moment Thursday night.

Before Cleveland’s contest against the New York Yankees, Adriana and her sister, Maiya, got to take the mound at Progressive Field and throw out ceremonial first pitches while Aviles and his wife urged them on.

As expected, it was awesome.

Adriana, who was diagnosed with children’s leukemia in May, seemed to be thoroughly enjoying herself, even receiving a special head rub from Indians manager Terry Francona before tossing the first pitch with a permanent smile affixed to her face.

The Indians went on to lose 8-6 after a late comeback fell short, but Team Aviles was the real winner Thursday night.
