Conor McGregor Is Trying To Take Over UFC Fight Night Dublin

It’s no secret that Conor McGregor wants to fight in front of his hometown fans of Dublin, Ireland.

The UFC interim featherweight champion has said as much time and again, and was hoping to be booked for a fight this weekend at Fight Night 76 in Dublin’s 3Arena. Instead, McGregor was (understandably) booked for the megafight that was canceled this summer versus legendary UFC fighter — and technically still the featherweight champion — Jose Aldo.

But with news that Joseph Duffy has pulled out of the main card, McGregor offered to fill the spot against Dustin Poirier, whom McGregor has faced and defeated before.

McGregor also called out Duffy for withdrawing.

We can’t imagine UFC ever actually doing this (risking an injury or a loss by McGregor before such a big fight) but it sure would be something if Mr. Notorious himself marched into the Octagon on Saturday.
