American Jack Sock Concedes Point In Remarkable Display Of Sportsmanship (Video)

American tennis player Jack Sock proved sportsmanship still is alive and well.

With the Australian Open right around the corner, some of the best tennis players in the world are competing in the Hopman Cup this week. That includes Sock, who teamed up with Serena Williams to face Australians Lleyton Hewitt and Jarmila Wolfe on Tuesday in a Group A round-robin match.

The Americans lost the match 3-0 after Williams withdrew with an injury, but that wasn’t the main story. Instead, it was an incredible display of sportsmanship by Sock that stole the show.

During the first set of their match, Hewitt ripped a serve close to the line that was called out. Instead of moving on to a second serve, though, Sock told Hewitt to challenge the call because his first try actually was in.

Sock technically conceded the point when he said the serve was in, but the replay proved Sock right for good measure.

Well done, Jack.
