Dayton’s NCAA Tournament Loss Leaves Adorable Young Fan Heartbroken (Video)

The NCAA Tournament provides its fair share of heartbreaking moments every year. Just ask a certain Villanova piccolo player.

And while we haven’t even made it through the first round of this year’s Big Dance, it appears we have a frontrunner for saddest fan in the tournament.

No. 7 Dayton had a very tough time with No. 10 Syracuse on Friday in their Midwest Region matchup in St. Louis, shooting just 32 percent from the floor in a lopsided 70-51 loss. As time wound down, cameras panned to a young Flyers fan, who dressed up for the occasion in an awesome pilot hat and goggles.

But the young fan was not having a good time.

Dayton still had a pretty good season, capturing the Atlantic 10 regular season title with a 25-7 record. But that’s little consolation for this poor kid, who had to head home in defeat after the blowout loss. Get ’em next year, kid.
