It’s hard to ever call Syracuse a Cinderella NCAA Tournament team, but the Orange are the closest group you will find to an underdog story this late in March.
Syracuse was a borderline team to dance this March Madness, but it squeaked in as a No. 10 seed and has made it to the Elite Eight. However, if the Orange want to make it to the Final Four, they will have to get past Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Year Malcolm Brogdon and No. 1 seed Virginia Sunday at Chicago’s United Center first. The Cavaliers won the ACC schools’ only meeting this year, and they are coming off an impressive showing against No. 4 Iowa State.
The winner of Syracuse-Virginia at faces the winner of No. 1 North Carolina and No. 6 Notre Dame in the Final Four on Saturday.
