Christian Vazquez In Red Sox’s Lineup With Rick Porcello Starting Vs. Yankees

BOSTON — The Red Sox and New York Yankees are headed into Round 2, and Boston is sending perhaps its best batterymates into the ring.

Right-hander Rick Porcello is on the mound for the Red Sox on Saturday for the middle game of the rivalry series, and that means Christian Vazquez will be catching and batting eighth. Porcello raved about the 25-year-old backstop after his outing against the Tampa Bay Rays on April 20, which was a quality start.

Porcello also is looking to stay undefeated, as he earned the win in each of his four starts.
