The entertainment world lost an legend Thursday when musical icon Prince was found dead at age 57.
The far-too-early death of the seven-time Grammy Award winner elicited an emotional reaction from countless athletes and sports figures on social media.
The Minnesota Wild also paid tribute to perhaps the most famous Minnesotan of all time by changing their Facebook and Twitter avatars to Prince’s signature purple.
The Minnesota Twins later did the same.
