The Tampa Bay Lightning’s 31-year-old alternate captain buried the game-winning goal just 2:48 into overtime at Barclays Center to give his team a 5-4 win and a two-games-to-one series lead over the New York Islanders.

Boyle, a Hingham, Mass., native and Boston College product, hadn’t recorded a point in the first two games of the series. But his rebound goal ended a wild night that saw four third-period goals, including the game-tying tally for Tampa with just 38 seconds remaining in regulation.
