Raiders Scouts Called Rob Gronkowski ‘Best All-Around Player’ In 2010 Draft

Breaking news: Rob Gronkowski is really good at football, and people were well aware of that before he was drafted in 2010.

The New England Patriots drafted the star tight end in the second round with the 42nd overall pick after Gronkowski fell due to some major injury concerns. And even though a back injury that kept Gronkowski out for his entire 2008 season at Arizona scared plenty of teams, Gronk still was on plenty of NFL teams’ radars.

Take it from this alleged Oakland Raiders scouting report, which Deadspin found on Imgur.

Oakland selected linebacker Rolando McClain with the eighth overall pick in the 2010 NFL draft and missed out on Gronk by two spots at No. 44. However, the Raiders might not have wanted Gronkowski anyway, as they got that second-round pick from the Patriots, along with a sixth rounder, in exchange for the No. 42 selection the Pats used on their future star.
