Dan Haren doesn’t pitch in Major League Baseball anymore, but he still can throw shade with the best of them.
Haren skewered Curt Schilling on Monday in the aftermath of his fellow ex-pitcher’s apparent support of someone at a Donald Trump rally wearing a T-shirt advocating for lynching journalists. Haren chose the famous bloody sock Schilling wore in the 2004 playoffs as the object of ridicule.
Ketchup. Sock. World Series.

Some have whispered through the years that Schilling’s ankle wasn’t bleeding as much as he wanted people to believe, and Haren brought the accusation back into the limelight.
Schilling spent some time Monday defending himself over his latest social media controversy. He might not have noticed Haren’s insult.
