Ronda Rousey’s WWE contract signing was an event unto itself.
The former UFC superstar officially joined WWE on Sunday night in Las Vegas when she penned her contract with the organization in front of a sold-out crowd at “Elimination Chamber.” Rousey entered the arena to a thunderous ovation and immediately praised her wrestling inspiration.

“I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for my hero, Rowdy Roddy Piper,” Rousey said, per ESPN’s Tim Fiorvanti.
Rousey then got down to business with WWE COO Triple H, asking for a match April 8 in New Orleans at WrestleMania 34.

Things turned physical after some trash talk between Rousey and “Monday Night RAW” commissioner Stephanie McMahon, whose husband Triple H paid the price for intervening.
