Ndamukong Suh Agrees To One-Year Contract With Los Angeles Rams

The sweepstakes have ended.

Since being cut by the Miami Dolphins on March 14, defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh has visited a number of teams looking to acquire his services, including the Tennessee Titans, New Orleans Saints and Los Angeles Rams.

The 31-year-old defensive tackle made his decision Monday when he agreed to a one-year contract with the Rams. The news was first reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, and the team made an announcement via Twitter.

“We are excited have Ndamukong as a part of the Los Angeles Rams,” general manager Les Snead said via Rams.com. “He’s been an outstanding player in this league and we are looking forward to him being a part of our defense.”

The deal is worth $14 million, according to Schefter, who reports that Suh took less to head to L.A.

Suh will join a talented defensive front that includes Aaron Donald and Michael Brockers.

The Rams had been seen as the front-runner for Suh, as they had the cap space to give him a high annual average on a short-term deal and present an opportunity to win.

The NFC West champions have had a brilliant offseason, acquiring Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib along with Suh.
