The 2020 Major League Baseball amateur draft will be short and sweet.
The draft will be just five rounds — instead of the usual 40 — and consist of 160 picks.
The action kicks off Wednesday night at 7 p.m. ET with the first round and Competitive Balance Round A, spanning the first 37 selections. The remainder of the draft will take place Thursday night, beginning at 5 p.m. ET.
