The Boston Bruins fell 5-1 to the Carolina Hurricanes in the first-round playoff series opener Monday night on the road in Raleigh.

Although the B's had a 36-25 shot advantage over the 'Canes, Taylor Hall netted the Bruins' only goal of the night.
