BOSTON — The TD Garden rafters got more crowded Tuesday night.
Before the the Boston Celtics kicked off the 2024-25 season against the New York Knicks, they raised Banner 18 high above the famed parquet, forever enshrining their team accomplishment.
The Celtics held a nearly 20-minute pregame ceremony and after each member of the coaching staff and roster received their dazzling rings, the players helped put the championship banner in its rightful space.

The 2024 championship banner took its spot next to the banner with Boston’s retired jersey numbers and in the same row as the 2008 championship banner.
