The Boston Celtics took the floor for Game 2 of their first-round playoff series against the Orlando Magic without Jayson Tatum.

Boston’s star missed the first postseason game of his career after the Celtics ruled him out with a bone bruise. Tatum suffered the wrist injury on a dunk attempt in Game 1 after a flagrant foul from Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

Boston fans certainly took exception to the play and wasted no time voicing their feelings to the Orlando guard in the early minutes of Game 2. After Caldwell-Pope picked up an early foul, boos rained down from the TD Garden crowd while Caldwell-Pope waved his arms and encouraged the fans to keep going.

You can see the interaction here, per CLNS’ Noa Dalzell.

Tatum missed his first playoff game with the Celtics after 113 postseason games to start his NBA career, which included last season’s championship. The All-Star had been listed as day-to-day, so alarms won’t fully sound on Tatum’s injury status for now.
