There has been so much talk about what the New England Patriots will do with the fourth overall pick Thursday night in Green Bay.
But what will be in the cards for Mike Vrabel and company in the mid-to-late rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft?
The Athletic’s Chad Graff provided potential answers to that question in a column published Thursday morning. Graff revealed league sources expect the Patriots to select players at both running back and defensive tackle “as early as Round 3” this weekend.
Not just any kind of back and tackle, though. According to Graff, New England is looking for a “speedy complement” to Rhamondre Stevenson, who currently sits atop the RB depth chart in Foxboro, Mass. The Patriots insider identified RJ Harvey, Trevor Etienne, Bhayshul Tuten, Brashard Smith and Jaydon Blue as potential targets.
As for interior defensive line help, New England reportedly is hoping to add a true run stuffer in wake of trading Davon Godchaux. The Patriots will try to find such a player in the middle rounds, according to Graff, who highlighted Ty Hamilton, Jay Toia, Cam Jackson, Cam Horsley and Yahya Black as possible fits.

Legitimate blue chip prospects are tough to come by in this draft class, which could prevent the Patriots from trading back in Round 1. But there is a good amount of depth at certain positions, and New England is in a spot to capitalize on Days 2 and 3.
