Shaquille O’Neal has always been outspoken, so it was only a matter of time before he had to start making up words to express himself.
In a 2008 interview with Craig Sager, the big man showcased his trademark sense of humor.
When he was asked what he planned to do to improve his game, Shaq didn’t miss a beat with the quick-witted reply “buy you a new jacket,” referring to Sager’s typically outlandish wardrobe choices.
Asked what his beef with the jacket was, Shaq couldn’t pick just one word so he responded with a mixture of horrible and awful, coining the term “horri-awful.”
NESN.com will showcase one Moment of Shaq every day until the Celtics open the season against the Heat on Oct. 26 at the TD Garden.
