Vancouver Green Men Mope in Their Seats at TD Garden, Ignored by Celebrating Bruins Fans

When the somehow-famous Green Men invaded Boston, they were supposed to be a big story. Here were these two Canucks fans taking their dog-and-pony show to the hostile city of Boston, where the fans were expected to give them trouble for their mere presence.

Instead, they’re being completely ignored.

That’s because the Bruins, in the two games at the TD Garden, have completely dominated. They’ve outscored the Canucks 12-1, chasing Vancouver’s Vezina-candidate goalie in the process. They’ve played a more physical game, wearing down the Canucks over the course of six periods, and they responded emotionally when Aaron Rome took out Nathan Horton with an unnecessary cheap shot.

As a result, the Green Men have become, essentially, an afterthought. But hey, at least you guys got to walk around in spandex. That’s cool.
