Which Royals Player Would You Most Want to See Join the Red Sox? Since winning the 1985 World Series, the Kansas City Royals have made the postseason exactly zero times.

They've finished over .500 once since 1995 and haven't been able to finish better than fourth place in the division since 2004.

Despite such woeful finishes, that doesn't mean the Royals are a complete wash, as many great players have escaped K.C. in recent years for greener pastures. Carlos Beltran, Johnny Damon and Jermaine Dye are just a few players that have made big names for themselves as a Royal and have gone on to have flourishing careers.

The Royals certainly have a handful of very skilled players this summer, and with the trade deadline approaching, now's a good time to hypothetically ask: if the Red Sox could have any one Royals player, which one player would it be?

Jeff Francoeur has been involved in a few trade rumors, and rightfully so. The outfielder leads the team with 13 homers and 61 RBIs.

Two other outfielders, Melky Cabrera and Alex Gordon, would be big additions to any team. Cabrera leads the club with 129 hits and a .299 batting average to go with 12 homers and 57 RBIs — both good for second most on the team. Gordon has a team-high .842 OPS and 27 doubles. His 12 homers and 54 RBIs are up their with the team leaders, too.

Joakim Soria is in his fifth year closing out games for the Royals and has 150 saves to his name. After a career-high 43 saves in 2010, Soria has 18 this season to go with an unusually high 3.56 ERA.

If you could have any one Royal on your team, who would it be?
