5:38 p.m.: In the Lightweight Women's Fours, Vesper Boat Club from Philadelphia won their second race of the day. Earlier they won the Championship Women's Fours. The women finished with a time of 18 minutes and 47 seconds and were ahead of the Undine Barge Club of Philadelphia by nine seconds.

The last results of the day to be posted, the Lightweight Men's Eights, went to US Rowing, who tore up the course, finishing with a time of 14 minutes and 27 seconds. The US Rowing team started ninth but had passed multiple boats by the time they got to the Cambridge Boat House and were clearly going at a good pace.

Harvard's first team finished in second place. They also looked good when they passed the Boat House, but couldn't catch US Rowing, finishing with a time of 14 minutes, 41 seconds.

5:31 p.m.: The unofficial results are in from the Lightweight Women's Eights and the University of Wisconsin, barring any changes in the results, will come out on top. The women rowed the course in 16 minutes and 53 seconds, good for first place.

5:18 p.m.: New York Athletic Club from White Plains, NY won the Lightweight Men's Fours race. Coming from bow number nine, the team finished the race in 16 minutes and 29 seconds. It was the first win for NYAC in this event since 2007.

5:16 p.m.: Williams College swept the Collegiate Eights, winning both the men's and women's races. The women's team won by a large margain, finishing 21 seconds ahead of the second place Bates College with a time of 16 minutes and 57 seconds.

5:05 p.m.: The last boat of the day just went by the Cambridge Boat House. That's it for the 47th Annual Head of the Charles Regatta.

Now we're just waiting for results from the races. Coming soon will be Collegiate Men's and Women's Eights and Lightweight Men's and Women's Fours and Eights.

4:57 p.m.: The Lightweight Men's Eights race just flew by the Boat House.

There was some great competition with all of the boats fighting hard to make up time.

Harvard's first boat had made up ground on Princeton, who started at bow number one. The US Rowing team was also making up a lot of time and should be near the top of the results.

4:42 p.m: Harvard, who scored big with a win in the Championship Men's Eights, got their first win in that event since 1977.

4:38 p.m.: Just poked my head outside as the last few boats of the Regatta are about to come by.

The crowd is much more sparse than it once was and it is rapidly growing darker outside. The forecast of a partly sunny day never really came true as it has been overcast for most of the day.

4:34 p.m.: The Union Boat Club Open Water Specialists have won the Directors' Challenge Mixed Quadruple. They also might have won the best and most creative name for a team that I've seen all day today.

Racing with bow number 5, the Water Specialists finished in 17 minutes and 14 seconds and won by a large margin. The second place team, Saugatuck Rowing Club, finished in 18 minutes and 6 seconds.

4:26 p.m.: Bunch of results just came in.

Vesper Boat Club out of Philadelphia has won the Championship Women's Fours with a time of 18 minutes and 21 seconds.

Harvard University's second team finished first in the Championship Men's Eights, six seconds ahead of the US Rowing team from Princeton.

That race had a bunch of good finishes for New England Universities. Brown's second team finished fifth, Boston University's first team finished seventh, and Northeastern's first team finished ninth.

The University of Virginia's second team won the Championship Women's Eights race with a time of 16 minutes and 11 seconds, eight seconds ahead of the Radcliffe Crew team from Cambridge. University of Michigan finished third and Yale University finished fourth.

Even though the races are almost done, there are still plenty of results to report. We'll have all the final results as soon as we get them, so stay tuned.

4:00 p.m.: Oakland Strokes, Inc. of Berkeley, Calif. has won the Youth Women's Eights with a time of 17 minutes and 12 seconds.

Marin Rowing Association, the same school that won the Youth Men's Eights, finished in second, nine ticks behind Oakland.

As the Collegiate Men's and Women's Eights finish up, There are just four races left to run today, the Lightweight Fours and Eights for both genders. The excitement at the Boat House is fading as the long day is almost over.

3:46 p.m.: Results are in from the Champonship Men's Fours.

The University of Wisconsin finished above the pack by a wide margain of 15 seconds over California-Berkeley's team.

In third was the Navy team that looked so well passing the Eliot Bridge. Harvard University's first team was the best New England finisher in fourth place.

The highest finisher from New England in the race was BC High, who finished in eighth place with a time of 15 minutes and 56 seconds.

3:10 p.m.: Just watched the Championship Men's Eights teams as they rowed by the Boat House. It seems like Harvard University's first team is in the lead.

A lot of local New England schools in this one. Boston University's first team looked good, and so did Northeastern's first team, already having passed two boats by the time they got to the Eliot Bridge.

2:55 p.m.: Still waiting for results on the Youth Men's and Women's Eights but we'll have the Championship Men's and Women's Eights coming soon.

The upcoming race will include colleges and universities from all over the country. There are 34 teams entered on the men's side and 37 women's teams rowing.

2:47 p.m.: The Navy foursome in the Championship Men's Fours just flew past a few other squads. They should be near the top of the results.

GMS Rowing Center finished first in the Directors' Challenge Men's Quadruple race with a time of 15 minutes and 33 seconds.
