Daniel Agger Concedes His Injury Woes Are a Fact of LifeDaniel Agger‘s body is not made of glass as some may think. But the oft-injured Liverpool defender admits his physical condition may never reach 100 percent as long as he continues to play the game, according to the Liverpool Echo.

“It’s going well right now,” Agger said of his recovery from a broken rib. “It’s not perfect, but it will probably never be that.

“My body might not have been built to play football. You have to learn to live with it and I have done that. It has been necessary at times.”

The injury jinx struck the Danish stopper again this season when he broke ribs during the Sept. 18 game against Tottenham. He hoped this season would see him stay injury-free for the first time in recent memory, but that would not be the case. He missed a month of action but has played well in two games since making his return.

Agger joined the Reds in 2006, but has appeared in less than half their games because of a variety of ailments. The 26-year-old has a contract that runs until 2014 and he hopes he can devote his best years to Liverpool and achieve his goals at Anfield.

“But there are no better options in the world than Liverpool,” he said. “It is top in every area.”
