The Bruins have recalled forward Lane MacDermid from the Providence Bruins on Wednesday, and he'll travel with the team on its road trip to Ottawa.
The bruising 6-foot-3, 205-pound brawler has four goals and 11 assists — and 115 penalty minutes — in 65 games.
MacDermid, drafted in the fourth round by the B's in 2009, has appeared in five games and recorded five penalty minutes for the Bruins already this year.
