Report: Miami Dolphins to Work Out Chad OchocincoChad Ochocinco may just get his wish.

The South Florida native, who was cut by the New England Patriots on Thursday, is interested in playing for the Miami Dolphins. And the feeling is at least somewhat mutual, as the Dolphins will bring the 34-year old wide receiver in for a workout next week, according to CBS Sports' Jason LaCanfora.

Ochocinco doesn't have much left in the tank. He hasn't caught more than two passes in a single game since December 2010 and struggled to learn the intricacies of New England's playbook this past season.

While he isn't nearly the off-the-field headache he once was, Ochocinco isn't the player he once was, either. The Dolphins desperately need wide receiver help after trading away Brandon Marshall this offseason, but Ochocinco wouldn't be a huge improvement over what Miami already has.

Of course, it all depends just how passionate Ochocinco is about football. If he gets after it, he could be the type of reliable veteran presence the Dolphins need if he takes whatever talents he has left to South Beach.
