Dionte Christmas is a Philadelphian — born, raised and educated — but if his wish is fulfilled, he will have a new hometown this year, along with a whole new crop of home teams.
Christmas, who turned down lucrative offers from overseas to sign a partially guaranteed deal with the Celtics, donned a Red Sox jacket on Tuesday. In tweeting a photo of his new duds, the diehard Phillies fan insisted he was not forsaking his roots.
