Zdeno Chara Uses Nifty Stickwork, Takes Pummeling as Bruins Captain Scores First KHL Goal (Video)

Zdeno Chara may not be scoring goals for the Bruins yet, but he’s giving fans a reason to be excited for his return.

Chara — who is currently playing for the KHL’s Lev Praha — made news earlier this season when he was involved in a massive collision with Igor Makarov, but the Bruin captain is now showing off his scoring ability as he continues his stint overseas.

Though Bruins fans are used to seeing the 6-foot-9 defenseman take slapshots from the blue line, Chara displayed some different skills scoring a sneaky goal off of a rebound in front of the net.

The NHL and NHLPA are meeting on Thursday to discuss the league’s most recent proposal to the players. One can only hope that Chara’s next goal will be at the TD Garden.
