Russell Westbrook is kind of an explosive player, so when he gets the ball on the break, opponents would be smart to just let him do his thing. Stephen Curry was not willing to do so on Sunday, though, and he paid for it.
Curry became the latest poster victim at the hands of Westbrook, who hammered home a dunk over the helpless Warriors guard to the delight of the crowd at Chesapeake Energy Arena. The announcers clearly liked it, too, describing the dunk as “cocking back the hammer,” “pulling the nastiest of triggers” and delivering a “thunderous finish.”
