David Ortiz may not have suited up for the Red Sox yet this season, but fans will get a chance to see him in action Sunday night — sort of.
Big Papi will lend his voice to an animated doppelganger on Sunday night for an episode of The Cleveland Show. TheĀ episode, which airs on FOX at 8:30 p.m. EDT, also features voice cameos from Jimmy Rollins, Andre Ethier, Matt Kemp and Joey Votto.
In the episode “California Dreamin’ (All the Cleves Are Brown),” the title character of Cleveland (voiced by Mike Henry), becomes a MLB scout.
Interestingly enough, the episode was originally set to air last Novemeber, but was rescheduled after a MLB game that day ran too long.
