Shane Victorino Leaps Into Stands to Make Catch, Hands Fan Back Her Cellphone (Video)

Shane Victorino reached base three times in Wednesday night’s run-scoring bonanza at Fenway Park, and he flashed some nice leather, as well.

With two outs in the the top of the fourth — before the game devolved into a home run derby — Victorino went soaring into the seats along the first base line to retire Tigers leadoff man Austin Jackson and strand runners on the corners.

The right fielder didn’t just help out Red Sox starter Ryan Dempster, though. His acrobatic catch caused one fan to lose control of her cellphone, which Victorino picked up off the dirt and handed back to the very grateful spectator.

Check out the catch and the hand-off in the video below.

Aetna Strikeouts for A Cause

For every strikeout by a Red Sox pitcher at Fenway Park in June, Aetna will donate $250 to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Through their continued efforts in the local community, Aetna is helping to build a healthier world -- one city and one strikeout at a time.
