It’s not often that NHL goalies get to prove to the sporting world that, just like their teammates, hockey players are the toughest athletes out there.
Boston Bruins netminder Chad Johnson (unfortunately?) got that opportunity Thursday night in Dallas when he took a stick to the face in the second period against the Stars and continued to play despite blood gushing from his left lid.
Johnson not only finished the period (and eventually the game), but he also did so without a contact lens.
