Sergey Tolchinsky scored a goal on Friday that showed he is probably deserving of a spot on the Carolina Hurricane’s starting roster.
In a game between Tolchinsky’s Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds and the Sarnia Sting, Tolchinsky took advantage of a bad line change by the Sting and found himself all alone with the goaltender, allowing him enough time to pull off a series of moves that probably left everyone in the building waiting to see a replay.
The spinning, between-the-legs shot certainly is deserving of two, if not 10, replays, and it should throw Tolchinsky’s name into contention for goal of the year.
