Shawn Thornton has played his last game as a member of the Boston Bruins, but his memory will endure on the forearm of one diehard B’s fan.
Said fan is the owner of a brand new tattoo, designed by Charlie Robbins of Sacred Addition Tattoo in Bridgewater, Mass., which depicts the water-squirting incident involving Thornton and Montreal Canadiens defenseman P.K. Subban that took place during in this year’s Stanley Cup playoffs.
The original Instagram photo was posted on Sunday, so it appears the tattoo was completed just one day before Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli announced that Thornton would not be coming back for an eighth season in Boston.
Impressive artistry, poor timing.
