Video: Kings’ Alec Martinez Scores Stanley Cup-Winning Goal In Second OT

It took nearly five periods of hockey, but the Los Angeles Kings found a way to win Game 5 of the 2014 Stanley Cup Final on Friday night and eliminate the New York Rangers in double overtime.

Veteran defenseman Alec Martinez capitalized on a rebound to beat Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist and give his team a 3-2 victory. This is the Kings’ second Stanley Cup title in the last three seasons.
