When supermodel Chrissy Teigen took the mound to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at Tuesday’s Los Angeles Dodgers-Los Angeles Angels game, the bar wasn’t exactly set very high.
We’ve seen some pretty brutal first pitches this season (we’re looking at you, 50 Cent) and judging by Teigen’s practice attempts before the game, it didn’t look like she’d fare any better.
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover girl silenced the skeptics, however, throwing a pretty impressive pitch to Dodgers backup catcher Drew Butera before jumping exuberantly into his arms.
Well done, Chrissy.
Inspired by the supermodel’s athletic prowess, the Dodgers went on to earn a thrilling 5-4 win on a walk-off error.
