Gregory CampbellBOSTON — Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli said fourth-line center Gregory Campbell will not participate Friday when the team skates for the first time in training camp.

“Campbell, he’s got some minor mid-core stuff. He’ll be slow to start,” Chiarelli said Thursday at TD Garden. “(Milan) Lucic a little slow, he’s on the recovery from the wrist (surgery). (Linus Arnesson) has tweaked his groin, so he won’t be skating for a little bit.”

Lucic is recovering from offseason surgery after hurting his left wrist during Game 7 of last year’s second-round playoff series against the Montreal Canadiens.

Arnesson is a promising defenseman prospect from Sweden. Chiarelli did not say exactly when the 19-year-old blueliner will be back on the ice.

Friday’s practice will be held at Ristuccia Arena in Wilmington.
