Russell Westbrook Copies Marshawn Lynch, Makes It Just As Awkward (Video)

The new fad in professional sports these days is totally blowing off the media.

It’s something that’s been perfected by Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch, and others are starting to catch on to the tactic.

The latest professional athlete to take a page out of Lynch’s playbook is Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook. The guard’s favorite phrase was “Execution down the stretch,” but he did take some time to belittle a reporter he apparently doesn’t like.

The weirdest thing is that the terse, borderline rude media session came after one of the best games of Westbrook’s career. He finished the game with a triple-double, totaling 17 points, a career-high 17 assists. That effort helped the Thunder knock off the NBA’s best team, the Golden State Warriors.
